Ingredient considerations
- St. John's Wort interacts with many prescription drugs, including antidepressants, birth control pills, blood thinners such as warfarin, HIV and transplant medicines, and some heart medicines, and can make them less effective. Speak with your doctor or pharmacist before use if you take any medication.
- Ginkgo biloba may increase bleeding risk with blood thinners or before surgery.
- Huperzine-A may add to the effect of medicines that act on acetylcholine.
- Not for use during pregnancy or nursing, or by anyone under 18.
